Community meeting in APAC timezones

Historically the Dask Community call has been at 10:00 US Central Time. This time is convenient for folks in the US and Europe, but excludes those in APAC.

There has been interest recently from folks like @paigem to attend the call, so we should endeavour to make this more practical.

Given the strong attendance from folks in the US I suggest we explore holding some meetings at a US/APAC friendly time occasionally. We can select the frequency based on attendance levels from different regions, but I suggest we try it first in September and see how it goes.

As somebody who lives in UTC/BST I'm probably not the best person to suggest an alternative time. What would be a good time of day for this meeting?

I'll suggest a time below that could potentially work for me (Australian Eastern Time - UTC+10 at the moment, UTC+11 from Oct-Mar when on daylight savings) and US-based folks and hopefully others in Australia and similar timezones. However, I understand that it may not make sense to change the time if I'm the only one in this timezone who would attend.

To optimize across East Coast Australia and the US, I propose the following 1-hour time slot:

• 9:30-10:30pm UTC
  • 6:30-7:30am Australian Eastern Time
  • 1:30-2:30pm US Pacific
  • 4:30-5:30pm US Eastern

Later times would work well for those of us based in Australia, but the times become less convenient for folks in the US.

I'll ping a few folks in my timezone to see who might be interested to join.

Ok great. Let's go with that time for the September meeting then. We can see what attendance is like and the decide how frequently we want to hold meetings at that time.
