AWS started publishing API models (in the Smithy JSON AST form) to the aws/api-models-aws GitHub repository which are also published to Maven Central.

Not sure if that will be easier to use long term than extracting models from the AWS SDK for Java v2.

Not sure if that will be easier to use long term than extracting models from the AWS SDK for Java v2.

It will require some work but it is surely the wiser long term strategy to depend directly on these public models than to depend on intermediate artifacts auto-gen'd from those same models.

Since this would effectively involve writing a Clojure client code generator for Smithy, this would let others also generate Clojure clients for services modeled in the Smithy IDL.
