- Avoid any discriminatory language or behavior. We’re all here to learn and grow together.
- Share your knowledge and help others when you can. We all benefit from a collaborative environment.
- Give and receive feedback graciously. We’re all here to improve.
- Think about how your words and actions might affect others. Aim to be positive and encouraging.
- If you see someone being mistreated, offer your support and report the behavior if necessary.
- Act with integrity. Be truthful in your communications and respect the intellectual property of others.
- Own your mistakes and learn from them. We all make them, and they’re an important part of growth.
The following actions are not allowed in Codetopia:
- Harassment, including unwelcome comments, threats, or personal attacks.
- Discrimination of any kind, whether based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal characteristic.
- Trolling, inflammatory comments, or any behavior intended to disrupt the community.
- Sharing someone else’s private information without their consent.
- Posting or sharing content that is offensive, inappropriate, or otherwise violates community standards.
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it by filling this form. We take all reports seriously and will address them promptly and confidentially.
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in actions including, but not limited to:
- A warning, with an explanation of the inappropriate behavior.
- Temporary or permanent suspension from the community.
- Removal of content that violates the guidelines.
This Code of Conduct applies to all community spaces, including GitHub, Discord, social media, and any other channels where Codetopia members interact. It also applies to behavior in public spaces when an individual is representing Codetopia.
This Code of Conduct is inspired by and adapted from various open-source community guidelines and the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
