The image is currently build on Alpine, because it's smaller and more minimalist. But many of the tools (e.g. AWS) are interactive CLI tools for developers to use manually, rather than a headless service, and they're often built assuming glibc and other bulkier stuff is available. Working around this adds friction to having the most recent tools and versions, which I don't think is worth the benefits of Alpine.
Dojo supports Ubuntu, so we should convert this image to that.
