It is expected that the api interface of other open source models except openai can be configured.

thanks we're working on this. It technically supports any openai compatible endpoint by adding base_url to the config but we've found varying results using Cloudflare ai-gateway models

We also support gemini as well

openai/gpt-5 class of models have been the most stable

It revolves around their tool calling semantics
