order of paths flips when scrolling the path list and zoomed

When zoomed in, such as shown, the order of paths appears to change when scrolling up and down in the path list via the up and down errors or the mouse wheel (over the path list names).

It looks like things are all correct in terms of what's displayed, but the change in order is hard to follow and confusing.
