Discovered that when using the following features from Options tab in the upper left
- Ignore Range and target type errors
- treat all friendly actions as mouse-overs
- include friendly target models
- treat all ground-targeted actions as mouseovers
- place all ground targets at the cursor
- ground targets actions (allow these actions to queue)
- actions from macros (allow these actions to queue)
that the following error would happen
- Target is not in range (it very much is in-range)
- Invalid Target (often when offscreen)
A work-around is as follows
- Select BLM
- Scroll down to Retrace and add an option
- Select Self
This now allows it to properly cast Retrace
It's definitely seems as if SE coding must automatically target yourself but the logic is displaced by introducing the logic of enabling friendly spells as mouse-overs
