Server unaccessible after `parted`

I followed the README of Deployment>Setting up the machine until sudo parted --align=opt /dev/sda mklabel gpt. This command asked me several times because the software believes /app/data is in use. I answered Ignore three times. The command succeeded, but asked me to reboot. After sudo reboot, I wasn't able to connect to the server anymore.

When I restart with cloudportal.fraunhofer.de, I get

I think the problem started when I increased the disk space of the volume DATA. DATA became sda and ROOT sdb. I detached DATA and attached it as 1 which means sdb. This was not enough. Therefore, I reinstalled the virtual machine which works fine so far.
