+/- datapoint buttons act funny after submission

from user (many users):

1. open a goal. The "Value" counter is blank.
2. press "+"; the Value is now 1.
3. Hit Submit and stay on the goal. The "Value" counter goes blank again.
I want to enter a second data point for the same goal, so I go
4. Press "+". The "Value" counter goes straight from blank to 2!
5. I have to press "-" to correct the value before submitting.
