Hi,

Any command line tool that can load MCP can usually work with the generic wrapper today, with a little bit of effort.

Step by step:

1. Copy config.local.toml.example to config.local.toml

2. Add an agent entry for the CLI you want to test. Example:

cwd = ".."

label = "MyCLI"
mcp_inject = "settings_file"
mcp_settings_path = ".mycli/settings.json"
mcp_transport = "http"

3. Pick the injection mode that matches the tool:

• settings_file
• env
• flag
• proxy_flag

4. Start agentchattr:

python run.py

5. Start the wrapper for that agent:

python wrapper.py mycli

6. Open the chat UI and send @mycli hello

If the tool can read the channel and reply back, it works.

I will look into more 'native' support for other command lines soon, and will get some stuff up and running early next week. Somebody else is already preparing a built-in Qwen wrapper.

In the meantime this should work for you, your agents should be able to help set it up for you if you feed them these instructions - if you run into any troubles please do let me know and I'll try to help or build in support for it.

Qwen is working, I have a PR open (I closed the previous PR because I messed up a bit with the history).

Hi, i made copilot connection with ACP since CLI didnt handled MCP that good and was missing on mentions and replys. If u want i can push you the wrapper etc for Copilot ACP, works nearly perfect. @bcurts
