User removed from country ranking after GitHub username change

Issue Description

Hello 👋,

I noticed an issue with my profile on committers.top (Pakistan leaderboard).

I was previously ranked at a good position in my country’s list due to consistent and significant GitHub contributions. However, after I changed my GitHub username, my profile was completely removed from the leaderboard, even though my contribution history still exists and is publicly visible on GitHub.

• Country: Pakistan
• Old GitHub username: salmanytofficial
• New GitHub username: ahmmikun
• Action taken: GitHub username change
• Result: Removed from committers.top ranking
• Expected behavior: Profile should update automatically or be re-linked to the new username based on GitHub account/contribution history

Possible Cause

It seems the ranking system might be tightly coupled to the GitHub username instead of the GitHub user ID, which causes profiles to disappear when a username is changed.

Request

Could you please:

• Check whether GitHub username changes break ranking links?
• Re-sync or restore my profile using my GitHub user ID or contribution data?
• Let me know if any manual action is required from my side

I really appreciate the work you’re doing with committers.top, and I hope this can be fixed so contributors don’t lose their rankings due to a simple username update.
