Mandatory field asterisk `aria-label` (accessibility)

On the "Action Plan" page of the Intellectual Disability Assessment form, the red "*" used to visually indicate that it is a mandatory field is a focusable element that is announced on VoiceOver as "star". This element is rendered in the background when a question is required=true. This may confuse screen reader users who may not know what "star" means.

Recommendation by accessibility experts:

This asterisk needs to be programmatically associated with the text field label that it is referring to and have an aria-label that reads "Mandatory field".

Describe alternatives you've considered
Trialled an aria-label with the text field label however this did not resolve the fact that the red asterisk is still being read aloud as "star" due to the way that the element is rendered.

Hi Rob, fixed this for question labels, group headings and tab button labels. This is now available in v1.2.8.

Just checking in on this issue - it's been about a month since it was opened with the "awaiting ADHA" label.

Has ADHA provided guidance on how to proceed with the mandatory field asterisk accessibility fix? If so, we're ready to implement. If you're still awaiting their response, no worries - just wanted to check the status.
