CLI mode filters + helpers

I've got a whole block here that needs content. All I have so far is to only show items belonging to each AppType (so all log, conf, query messages). What else would you want a "CLI mode" to do? What kind of filters or actions would you like it to have?

Ideas so far:

• Filter by app
• Date format option/selector

1.3.1.172 will include a simple filter to find items in the list quickly, but not feature the Type or Date Format fields.
