I might have some time too. I wanted to focus more on the mongoDB user profile stuff. What are you interested in?

I don't know anything about mongo. That could be fun. I'm fuzzy on the other features we came up with. Maybe Nathan can post the picture he took of the list that night.

Thanks, I will take a look at it. I installed MongoDB and Mongoose since that is what we talked about using in the meetup. I have not seen Nathan post the schema we worked on in the meetup, so the first step is to re-create the schema or get the schema to what we want it to be. I created schemas based off of basecamp personal info and settings as a starting point. I'm going to look at some other sites to see what kind of stuff they have for personal info and settings.

Did you install on Windows? Any problems/issues/insights from when you did your installation?

I installed MongoDB on Ubuntu. I use virtual box, so I have an Ubuntu image on it. I did a couple of things following the documentation and it seems to be up and running. Nathan talked about using mongoose, so I installed that too, but I haven't tried that yet. To use Mongoose you need Node.js installed as well.

I just sent you an email with my info. By the way for others, I wrote down many of the settings that Basecamp, Facebook, and Meetup use for users and groups to give a starting point for what we might want for our project.
