Intent to prototype

I am very interested in this proposal and would like to prototype it in AssemblyScript once time comes. The prerequisite here is to implement it in Binaryen, and I'd then happily do what I can to make it available behind a flag in a timely manner. Just FYI, in case it may ever become helpful :)

That's good to hear!

It is surely useful if we can expose the feature to as many use cases as possible, so we can assess how much of a performance impact it can have.

Right now I am focusing on implementing the feature in V8 behind a flag.

Once we have that it will be easier for tools like Binaryen to add support.

I will keep this issue open and ping you when we get there!

Hi @dcodeIO!

The V8 implementation landed in master. It is behind the --experimental-wasm-branch-hinting flag.

No Binaryen support yet though.
