wf-popovers contents are sometimes scrolled, despite having sufficient space

I have been unable to get a screenshot, but the contents of WayfireMenuButtons will sometimes appear with a scrollbar, while clearly having sufficient space available. It will have a little bit of room to scroll, typically looking to me like a bit around 10 pixels. It will not persist and appear between showing and hiding the popovers. Seems to happen more often/exclusively with smaller ones, as i have only really seen it with the mixer’s quick target popover and the brightness widget.

Adwaita (checked with gsettings)

This leaves the problem mostly similar, but it seems the scrolling distance is actually greater, and it is accompanied by also being horizontally scrollable.

With the same settings, no sign of a scrollbar (until I go to a popover too big for screen)

This finally bit me! Once.

And I've not been able to reproduce it again since.

I can artificially trigger this by changing between differently proportioned themes. Not sure this is quite the right way to deal with it

I have to note that this affects GMenu based menus too, which are not in our control in the same way, so this is likely a GTK4 bug or a GTK4 layer shell bug.
