Feature request: Make all local MCPs available.

I'm not sure if this is possible, but it would be nice if we can allow ChatGPT to be able to talk to all the local MCPs installed locally that Codex has access to.

It's totally possible but i don't think we need nested MCP available? i mean it will bloat the context, either way chatgpt already have MCP connectors so that way you can already connect those MCP servers (remote only)

Keeping this issue opened for awhile so that maybe someone can experiment in this direction and see if it's feasable.

Yeah, it would be very nice because we can allow ChatGPT to use tools like Playwright MCP to verify its implementation.

You could already do it by adding a reverse proxy with for example Caddy and route the MCP servers you want to tailscale/cloudflare. Then you could create multiple Apps in ChatGPT.

edit: I don't think it's a good idea to make everything into one MCP/App since it would have a very long tool list. But also I couldn't use two or more Apps simultaneously in GhatGPT now for some reason so it's kind of annoying.
