1.According to my experience,the gear sound only appears when the PWM is on.
2.The simulated gear sound's harmonics (except for the lowest harmonic) don't match with the real ones.Maybe you can refer to OTOTETSU(a phone app)'s gear sound algorithm?
3.Due to resonance,the gear sound should be composed of more harmonics,it should include some harmonics a few whole octaves higher than the standard ones.
