DH RSE Summer School

Oscar Seip contacted Gillian, who passed him to me and Rob, about suporting the event with some HPC training, similar to what they had last year at Kings Digital Lab. CCP-AHC are supporting with some time to adapt the previous year's triainng material to whatever HPC system they use this year (they want to know if RIT can give access to CSF).

Eamonn suggested a CAKE placement or Charted DRIFT placement between RIT, Durham and KCL for someone to collaborate/share knowledge and adapt the training material?

Durham CCP-AHC will give time for material adaptation.

Oscar wants Manchester support to give acces to resources, give intro/teach/help with initial debugging. Expecting 25-30 participants (100 applicants), from all across UK. Digital Humaitities researchers, PhD/postdoc and above, maybe interested in RSE career paths.

Summer school is 4 days, HPC is half-day. 29 June - 2 July. Venue - hyperflex East Booth St or maybe humanities lab in Martin harris centre?

I will put Oscar in touch with HPC team to see if they can use CSF, and then if so, can we give them an instructor/helper for the course.
