ability to set TCP_NODELAY

seems like this is the kind of thing that could benefit from TCP_NODELAY being enabled

i checked src if "xxx.setTCPNoDelay(true);" is being set anywhere but it wasn't there

is it default? what sets it? because android doesn't by what i read

i'm curious if your code does. and if so, where

it's something i can't easily test too. the server side i can see in in tcpdump. if nodelay is on, packets don't join up, if off they do. but client messages are so short that one can't see if they join up or not

tbh i don't know if that gives much less latency. esp. for my purpose. i expect people to use udp for it anyway?

I am using Ktor TCP client. TCP_NO_DELAY is true by default in the TCP socket options

Yes with UDP you get less latency but it does not guarantee packet delivery or packet order
