When I supply a miner with a pump and a chest and it mines redstone, it always puts the redstone into the battery slot of the pump. I know redstone can go in there, but it is a bit counter productive when mining it that it can be used up automatically.
It is possible to stop that with the machine access control on the pump but that is not very intuitive, especially for ppl new to the mod and only works for our own machines. Instead of having to mess with those settings on every relocation of the miner setup I have a few different suggestions
- stop the miner from filling adjacent battery slots in general (solves this, but is not the best solution since it could happen with coal and another machine that happens to be close by
- make the miner only output into inventories with at least 9 (or something, could be configurable in the config) slots
- add a button to the miner to either select one output direction by cycling through all directions
- add a set of directional buttons to enable/disable different output directions
I would prefer the 4th option to solve this since it allows to have multiple chests around the miner while still being able to disable specific sides to stop things like my redstone in the pump issue
