Planar Atlas ("Planar Atlas", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Planar Atlas does and does not collect, how the app handles local browser storage, and what third-party network requests may occur when you use the site.
Planar Atlas is designed to be privacy-friendly.
- No account is required.
- We do not collect personal information from users through the app.
- We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or profiling tools.
- We do not sell or share user data.
- Most app data is stored locally in your browser on your own device.
Planar Atlas is a static web application intended to function without a backend account system. Some features also support offline use after the app has been loaded.
Planar Atlas does not require you to create an account or submit personal information in order to browse cards, build decks, or use the game tools.
Planar Atlas does not use analytics services, advertising pixels, session replay tools, behavioral profiling, or similar tracking technologies.
To make the app work properly, Planar Atlas stores certain data locally in your browser. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- theme and display preferences
- search and interface preferences
- saved deck names and deck contents
- imported/exported profile state
- game autosave state
- tutorial dismissal state
- zoom or view settings
- changelog dismissal state
- cached files for offline support
This local data is stored on your device by your browser. It is not submitted to us as part of normal use of the app.
If you clear your browser storage, reset the site data, or use in-app reset options, some or all locally stored information may be removed.
Planar Atlas does not use cookies for accounts, analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.
However, depending on how the site is hosted or which third-party resources are loaded by your browser, infrastructure providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Those technologies are governed by the privacy policies of those third parties, not by this Privacy Policy.
Planar Atlas may use browser caching and a service worker to support offline functionality and faster loading. As part of that behavior, your browser may cache application files, images, transcripts, and other static assets on your device.
These cached assets are used to improve performance and offline availability. They are not used by us to identify you.
Although Planar Atlas does not collect analytics or user account data, your browser may make limited network requests required to load or update app content.
These requests may include:
- app files and static assets served by the site
- card data and transcript files
- update or release-note information
- third-party libraries loaded from public CDNs
When your browser makes those requests, the operators of the relevant hosting, CDN, or API services may receive standard technical request data such as:
- IP address
- browser and device information
- request timestamps
- requested URLs
- referrer information, where applicable
Planar Atlas does not use those requests for advertising, analytics, or user profiling.
Depending on deployment, Planar Atlas may rely on third-party providers for hosting or content delivery. It may also request publicly available release information or load front-end libraries from public CDNs.
Those third parties process data according to their own privacy policies and infrastructure practices. If you self-host Planar Atlas, your own hosting and delivery setup will determine what server logs or technical records may exist.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Because Planar Atlas does not collect user accounts or analytics data through normal app use, we generally do not possess user data to disclose. Any technical request data handled during hosting or content delivery is typically processed by the relevant infrastructure provider.
Because most functional data is stored locally in your browser, retention is generally controlled by you and your browser environment.
Locally stored data may remain until:
- you clear browser storage or cache
- you uninstall the app or PWA
- you use available reset features
- your browser removes stored data automatically
Third-party hosting or CDN providers may retain standard server logs according to their own retention schedules.
You can manage Planar Atlas local data by:
- clearing browser local storage and cached site data
- uninstalling the installed web app/PWA
- using in-app reset features where available
- avoiding optional contact actions such as email links
- choosing not to use the site while connected to third-party-hosted infrastructure
Planar Atlas is a general-audience utility tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Planar Atlas is designed to minimize privacy risk by avoiding accounts and central user-data collection. However, no website, browser storage mechanism, or network transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device and browser environment.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, hosting setup, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of Planar Atlas after an updated policy is posted means the updated policy will apply going forward.
