We have the TPDB benchmark naming convention Category/Author-Year/Number.
This is now explicit (see call for benchmarks), while it was only implicit before, and never enforced - and sometimes broken:
we had SRS/Endrullis and SRS/Oppelt08 but they got moved (merge) to SRS/Mixed at some point in the past ("original filename" still shows the author). Perhaps because they contained only a few files each (less than 10).
Appearance is very much asymmetric now
some directories (all from the same era) were kept (Bouchare, Gebhardt) others were merged
in the merger, we have SRS/Mixed/01 and SRS/Mixed/01-oppelt08
I would welcome that this be rectified. On the other hand, I see the value of stable URIs. So, I'm not sure what to do. At least I wanted to highlight the (perceived, by me) problem.
