Accessing DuePayableAmount from XML file for further use in tex file

It would help a lot if I could access DuePayableAmount as it is written to the XML file to create an EPC-QR-Code with payment information.

Could this be implemented (or already is and I don't know how to access the data)?

It depends a lot on how one structures their invoicing package.

zugferd directly is not saving any values. It's just writing those to the XML. So concerning this: This would not make any sense.

But the „zugferd-invoice.sty“ demo implementation can easily be extended to have that saved to an extra variable, currently it holds
the net amount and the total taxes. And yes of course this can also easily be passed on the the qrbill package.

To process it is necessary to decide if you want it as a floating point number or a string … But this issue is one of the reasons, why zugferd-invoice.sty is a demo implementation and the zugferd package itself is designed as a framework.
