Unable to install dattri[sjlt]

I have Window 11 with RTX 4060 GPU. It has got,
NVIDIA driver: 581.83
Driver-supported CUDA runtime: 13.0
Installed nvcc: CUDA 12.6

I was trying to install dattri, but it is not getting installed. It says "PyTorch not found". I think the issue lies in the library. I am attaching the log as well, please let me know if you need any other details from my side.

Hi @Jay-Sadhu, you are expected to install PyTorch on your own first before installing dattri.

We intentionally leave out the installation of some dependency libraries, including PyTorch, in the installation of dattri, so that we do not mess up your existing PyTorch library.

Could you try the following steps?

conda create -n dattri python=3.10
conda activate dattri

conda install -c "nvidia/label/cuda-12.4.0" cuda-toolkit
pip3 install torch==2.6.0 --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu124

pip install dattri[sjlt]

But the PyTorch was indeed installed initially.
(The log does show that the PyTorch has been installed and passed the test when the torch version is printed before installing dattri)
Only change I did was ignoring toolkit installation, but it should not create any issue. As I did have cuda toolkit initially installed (nvcc).

Exact commands I have used according to the log matching the order,

• nvidia-smi (wanted to let you know info about gpu and drivers)
• nvcc --version (cuda toolkit info)
• conda create -n dattri python=3.10 -y
• conda activate dattri
• pip install torch==2.6.0 torchvision torchaudio --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu124
• python -c "import torch; print(torch.version)"
• pip install "dattri[sjlt]"

I have also tried to use the exact steps,

• conda create -n dattri python=3.10
• conda activate dattri
• conda install -c "nvidia/label/cuda-12.4.0" cuda-toolkit
• pip3 install torch==2.6.0 --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu124
• pip install dattri[sjlt]

Hmm this might have something to do with the fact that the system here is windows. I don't have a windows machine at hand so can't really reproduce it. @Jay-Sadhu if sjlt is not something you need you can simply just install pip install dattri instead.

Yes, pip install dattri is getting installed.
I thought sjlt will accelerate the process using GPU.
Alright will use this for now.
