Combine

Chris will be talking at Combine as he is an invited speaker. In addition, Chris requested two sessions. The Combine time can be spend on aligning the two SBOL2 to SBOL3 converters.

SBOL Visual

Jake points out that SBOL visual wasn't updated for a long time but there are many open proposals. The SBOL-Editors should discuss these proposals in the near future and decide how to handle these.

IGEM currently rebuilds its part registry and shifts to a new ontology. Having an up-to-date SBOL visual ontology could

IWBDA

Events and contributions have been good but participation could have improved. The idea is to roughly colocate IWBDA with SEED (June 15, 2026 to June 18, 2026), in particular to make IWBDA happen directly after SEED and ideally integrate a IWBDA session into SEED at the end of SEED. SEED takes place in Denver and IWBDA will be in Boulder to allow people to attend both.

Regarding funding, BDAC and SBOL should already reach out to potential sponsors now. Companies need a sponsor package so that they can check for their interest and recognition. To this end, we should update our sponsorship packages and tiers.

End-of-Life of oss.sonatype.org

We used oss.sanotype.org as repositories for snapshots of libSBOLj and libSBOLj3. We need to look for a replacement to ensure persistent availability.
