Topics
SBOL Visual Paper
Paper is mainly finalized and everyone is invited to review the paper. In this context, the authorship of the paper should be updated to reflect the contributions.
The website already includes a targeted section on SBOL Visual 10 years. Additionally, we plan to upload a Cheat Sheet on compliance and best practices compiled from the figures specifically created for the paper.
Chris raised the idea to include a point of contact to allow authors of the papers listed on the website to ask for specific information on compliance and best practices.
Goksel raised the idea, that we should highlight on the website the particular range of papers we did investigate. The lists could be updated for every issue in ACS that appears.
Commenting on the SBOL Visual 10 years part of the website, hyperlinks to the actual papers would be very helpful.
Goal is to submit the paper by the end of march.
Harmony
Prashant submitted a request for workshop sessions but hasn't heard back from the organizers yet. Focus of the Harmony time is the work on the SBOL converter, converting SBOL 2 to SBOL 3.
Tom likes to step down from his Harmony coordinator positions for SBOL Visual. The workload is roughly 1 meeting per month. Georgie and Carolus would be interested in taking over this position jointly. Chris continues his position as coordinator for SBOL but is also fine with having a successor.
SBOL Servers
Chris and Prashant raise the point that funding for the server has to be prepared for the future.
In this context, SBOLs finances shall be migrated to the supervision of BDAC to reduce costs and improve manageability.
Goksel's Project
Goksel has a new PostDoc which will work on Projects with SBOL as basis.
Goksel plans a Workshop on Standards within the next six months in England. SBOL could be part of this workshop. Workshop includes budget for traveling.
