Minecraft hash extractor for Minecraft Wiki is a tool for obtaining the parameters of all versions available in the launcher for the Infobox version template on the Minecraft Wiki. Requires a network connection at startup and after selecting a version. Supports unique parameter names in different language sections.

Prerequisites

This script requires you to have Python > 3.x.x installed with the requests and tkinterlibrary installed on your system.

  • Windows: There is a ready-made exe.

  • Ubuntu/Debian:

    sudo apt install python3 python3-tk python3-requests

  • For buld on Windows or launch via a .pyw file: tkinter is already built in. You must install requests with the pip install requests command.

Usage

  • Windows: Download and launch!
  • Linux: python3 MCHashExtractor.pyw

By default, English is set and the latest snapshot is selected. You can choose any combination.

After selecting the version, you need to wait a bit for the data to be uploaded.

lang.json file contains template variable names for different language sections. If a value is empty (""), the variable will be removed. It is not included in the program and is downloaded from this repository every time it is launched.

Antivirus Detection Notice

Some antivirus programs may flag MCHashExtractor.exe (the --onefile build) as suspicious. This is a false positive caused by PyInstaller's packaging mechanism: the standard bootloader, lack of code signing, and automatic extraction to a temporary folder often trigger heuristic detectors.

The project's source code is fully open. Releases also includes MCHashExtractor-Windows_x64.zip, built with pyinstaller --onedir. It contains a dedicated folder with the executable and all dependencies, does not extract to %TEMP% at runtime, and typically triggers fewer false positives. You can verify the files via VirusTotal or build the application yourself from source.

If your antivirus blocks execution, add the file to your allowlist/exclusions or use the --onedir version from the archive. I guarantee the safety, transparency, and absence of hidden functionality in this project.

Minecraft hash extractor for Minecraft Wiki — это инструмент для получения параметров любых версий, доступных в лаунчере, для использования в шаблоне Карточка версии на Minecraft Wiki. Требуется подключение к интернету при запуске и после выбора версии. Поддерживает уникальные имена параметров для разных разных языковых разделов.

Требования

Для запуска необходимо установить Python > 3.x.x с библиотеками requests и tkinter.

  • Windows: Есть готовый exe-файл.

  • Ubuntu/Debian:

Примечание о срабатываниях антивирусов

Некоторые антивирусы могут помечать файл MCHashExtractor.exe (сборка --onefile) как подозрительный. Это ложное срабатывание, вызванное особенностями упаковки через PyInstaller: стандартный загрузчик, отсутствие цифровой подписи и автоматическая распаковка во временную папку часто активируют эвристические детекторы.

Исходный код проекта полностью открыт. В релизах дополнительно доступен архив MCHashExtractor-Windows_x64.zip, собранный с флагом pyinstaller --onedir. Он содержит отдельную папку с исполняемым файлом и всеми зависимостями, не распаковывается в %TEMP% при запуске и, как правило, реже вызывает ложные срабатывания. Вы можете проверить файлы через VirusTotal или собрать программу самостоятельно из исходников.

Если антивирус блокирует запуск, добавьте файл в исключения или используйте версию из архива. Я гарантирую безопасность, прозрачность и отсутствие скрытого кода в проекте.
