🆘 Getting Help

General Support

For technical issues, questions, or general inquiries:

→ Open a GitHub Issue

Our team actively monitors GitHub Issues and will respond as quickly as possible.

Before Opening an Issue

Please:

  1. Search existing issues - Your question might already be answered
  2. Check the Documentation - Many common questions are covered
  3. Review INSTALLATION.md - For setup-related questions
  4. Check README.md - For general information

🐛 Reporting Issues

Bug Reports

Found a bug? Help us fix it!

→ Report a Bug

Include:

  • Clear description of the issue
  • Steps to reproduce
  • Expected vs actual behavior
  • Screenshots (if applicable)
  • Your environment:
    • Browser & version
    • Operating system
    • Node.js version (for local development)

Example:

**Bug Description:**
CV upload fails with PDF files larger than 2MB

**Steps to Reproduce:**
1. Go to homepage
2. Click "Upload CV"
3. Select a PDF file > 2MB
4. Error appears

**Expected:** File should upload successfully
**Actual:** Error "File too large"

**Environment:**
- Browser: Chrome 120
- OS: Windows 11

💡 Feature Requests

Have an idea to make Wazivo better?

→ Request a Feature

Include:

  • Clear description of the feature
  • Why it would be useful
  • How it should work
  • Any examples from other tools

Example:

**Feature:** Support for LinkedIn profile import

**Why:** Many users have updated LinkedIn profiles but outdated CVs

**How it should work:**
1. User clicks "Import from LinkedIn"
2. Authenticates with LinkedIn
3. Profile data is extracted and analyzed

**Similar features:** Found in Resume.io, Jobscan

🔒 Security Issues

Reporting Security Vulnerabilities

For security-related issues, DO NOT open a public GitHub Issue.

Instead, use GitHub's private security reporting:

→ Report a Security Vulnerability

Security issues include:

  • Data leaks or exposure
  • Authentication/authorization bypass
  • XSS or injection vulnerabilities
  • API key exposure
  • Any security weakness

We take security seriously:

  • All reports are reviewed within 48 hours
  • We'll work with you to understand and fix the issue
  • You'll be credited (if desired) when the fix is released

🔐 Privacy & Data Protection

Privacy Concerns

For GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy-related requests:

→ Open a Privacy Request Issue

Privacy requests include:

  • Data access requests ("What data do you have about me?")
  • Data deletion requests ("Delete my data")
  • Data portability requests ("Export my data")
  • Questions about data handling
  • Cookie/tracking concerns

Our Privacy Commitment

  • ✅ No data storage - We don't store your uploaded CVs
  • ✅ Temporary processing - Files are processed in memory only
  • ✅ No tracking - We don't use analytics or tracking cookies
  • ✅ API privacy - Groq API processes data securely
  • ✅ Transparency - Open-source code for full visibility

Data Flow:

1. You upload CV → 2. Processed in memory → 3. Sent to Groq API → 4. Results returned → 5. Nothing stored ✅
