Describe the bug
SmartSkillup uses the Protect spell for enhancing magic, probably because it's the enhancing magic that requires the least amount of MP. Unfortunately it does not seem to detect whether the player is under the effect of a higher level of the same spell (e.g. Protect II).
A lower level enhancing spell cannot overwrite a higher tier of the same spell, resulting in "no effect", which prevent skillups (the spell must actually take effect for a skillup to be possible). At the worst case, SmartSkillup might waste 30 minutes casting protect over and over without a single skillup.
Steps to Reproduce
- Cast Protect II (or higher) on yourself (or have someone else cast it on you)
- Attempt to skill up enhancing magic
Expected behavior
Either the status effect should be removed before the session begins or a different spell is selected.
