I tried adding https://github.com/ros-controls/ros2_control_cmake to vinca.yaml but it doesn't seem to work. It seems that the package is too new, and is not in the rosdistro_shapshot.yaml. But I don't really understand how this works, so any help or tips is appreciated!

I will try to give a brief explanation of what is happening, feel free to ask for more details.

The ros2_control_cmake package was added in humble in ros/rosdistro#47040 (~24 July 2025) while the last time we refreshed our snapshot was ~4 July 2025 (see

and #320 ).

In general, we only refresh the snapshot on full rebuilds (such as #320, see "Doing a full rebuild" in https://robostack.github.io/Contributing.html).

So to package it we should either do a full rebuild, or add it manually for now to the snapshot, so that it will be removed once we do a full rebuild, as anyhow it should not create any problem as it is a pure-CMake project that can't create ABI problems.

Also I'd love to better understand the process for how we go from a PR to a package on conda I can pull. Are there docs describing that somewhere? Also, who is funding all this CI/building? Thanks!

All the CI is done on public GitHub Actions that are a free to use. Hosting is kindly offered by prefix.dev and anaconda (on anaconda.org).
