Add Feature: Manual Image Rotation (Hotkeys and/or Button)

Hi developers,

First of all, thank you for developing and maintaining QuickLook for Windows. It is an essential utility for many users.

I would like to request the addition of a manual image rotation feature when viewing files (e.g., JPEG, PNG) in the QuickLook preview window.

The proposed functionality is:

Allow rotation of the displayed image by 90 degrees clockwise and counter-clockwise.

This feature should ideally be accessible via a keyboard shortcut (e.g., Ctrl + R or Shift + R).

Alternatively, or in addition, an easily accessible button in the viewer window would be helpful.

Currently, the only way to adjust the orientation is through external editing or reliance on correct EXIF metadata, which can be inconsistent. Manual rotation would significantly improve the utility of the tool for quick viewing and checking of images.

Good idea, but...

Even if the rotation function is implemented, it can only be used for preview and does not modify the original image file.

Thank you for the feedback. I completely agree with you: *QuickLook must not modify the source image file.* The request for rotation is purely a *visual feature* to enhance the preview experience. The utility lies in being able to instantly correct the orientation of a sideways image (e.g., product photos, labels, or documents) without leaving the QuickLook window, thereby avoiding the time-consuming step of opening a separate editor just to read the content. The rotation only needs to persist while the preview window is open. It is an *accessibility feature for quick review*, not an editing tool.
