Chinese IME is not visible in character naming screen

Is there an existing issue for this?

• I have searched this repository for an existing issue matching this description, and none exists. I understand this issue will be closed as a duplicate if this is not the case.

Reproduction steps (if known)

1. Create a character
2. Go to the naming screen
3. Activate Chinese IME
4. Type some text
5. Yellow text/pending characters is not visible, the textbox is just blank

Additional information

Tested with Windows 10 Microsoft's Chinese (Simplified, China) Microsoft Pinyin keyboard of 中文(中华人民共和国) language pack
