[26.1.2] VoxyServer client mod appears to be "out of date" even though it's not

hello!

as the title may imply, i joined my own server which has the same version of VoxyServer installed as my client (v1.2.1). however, i was warned that for some reason, my client is "outdated"

my server's console also behaves quite interestingly, showing these two messages when i join:

[00:08:24] [Server thread/WARN]: player rmfz has an outdated VoxyServer client (no protocol handshake), LOD streaming disabled
[00:08:24] [Server thread/INFO]: player rmfz ready for LOD streaming, protocol 1

i have made sure that all dependencies were installed (both on the server and my client). upon joining the server, even though i have already ran /voxyserver import existing all (for all my pre-generated chunks), nothing streams to my client.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!
