Afterpulsing

I can't seem to get rid of the afterpulsing signal using SyncDeadTime under PH330_Edge.ini. Any idea on which set of number to try or which other settings I need to set?

Current settings:

Hi Seung,

What type of detector you are using?
What is the repetition rate?
And what is the lifetime of your sample?

Usually SPADs have afterpulsing due to their structure. Can you adjust the deadtime of the channel?

I'm doing single-molecule experiment with 10-40Mhz rep rate. The detector I'm using now is the Picoquant PMA Hybrid Series. Fluorescence lifetime is around 1 ns.
I have tried adjusting [Device] SyncDeadTime and [All_Channels] DeadTime from 0 to 10,000 but still observing afterpulsing at around 4.5ns.

Most probably you are not seeing afterpulsing but something else. The PMA Hybrid does not show any significant afterpulsing. I would say that your problem is not Snapi related but most probably due to reflections (optical or electrical)
