Using Cycplus BC2 with Biketerra #356

Description

@psalmon933

I'm getting confused trying to do this. Bikecontrol detects Cycplus presses, but does not send them to Biketerra. I have tried 'Connect directly over network' because this is shown as 'Recommended', but that times out after several minutes 'waiting for connection'. Clicking 'Instructions' brings up a blank. 'Local' connection does seem to connect (green symbol).

If only Local connection is on, clicking a Cycplus button leads to the Button Mapping options that prompt me to specify coordinates on the Biketerra screen. If both Local and Network options are on (albeit, Network is not actually connecting), clicking a button brings up a Biketerra Action menu, with which I can allocate an action to single clicks on Shift Up and Shift Down buttons (but can't allocate other actions to double click or long press). But at no time does clicking the Cycplus buttons change gearing in Biketerra.

I'd like to take advantage of the Biketerra Action menu, if that is possible, because this seems simpler than mapping button presses to points on the screen.

Is there a step-by-step explanation you can point to for how to set up this controller. Thank you, and apologies for my confusion.

My setup:

Biketerra on Chrome on Samsung S10 Android phone
Bikecontrol (v5.3.0+5) on same device
Kickr Core 2 trainer
