Sorry for the late reply, yes you may create a patch based on ours. The description of the repo includes a lot of information on our process and character IDs. I recommend joining the Melty Blood discord and looking at the Type Lumina modding channel for more information.
Using the replace tool will replace all the files for a language, so it's simple drag and drop.
