The AI Elephant in the Room

I wanted to promote this project, so I asked AI to help me plan it out. One of the suggestions was to post it on Reddit. Boy oh boy, did I ask for it 😄

A lot of the comments were about whether AI built this or if I used AI. There seems to be some kind of taboo around using it, which honestly caught me off guard.

So let me just be straight about it. Has AI helped with this project? Yes, of course. I use Claude Code, Codex, and whatever else helps me move forward. And if you're not using these tools, you really should be. Early on I was doing most of the work and AI was helping me along the way. Now that the project has matured, those roles have kind of flipped — AI takes the lead on a lot of the changes and I guide it, review what it does, and decide what stays and what goes.

If you look at my commit history, you'll see Claude Code (not sure why Codex doesn't show) listed right there as a contributor. I could have removed that, but I have nothing to hide.

Edit: Most of the early work did not make into this repo so no commit history.
