OpenCL devices not detected with RX 5700

I used this script previously to enable OpenCL on an RX 480 on Debian 10. I've since upgraded that card to an RX 5700 expecting it to be a drop-in upgrade, but this is apparently not the case. I've tried upgrading the kernel and firmware from backports and fully reinstalled the drivers and rebuilt the OpenCL package with this script.

The card is detected by Linux:

I'm using amdgpu-pro version 20.40. What am I missing?

Hi David,
thanks for reporting this. I was under the impression that Navi 10 was supported by the same "newer" PAL OpenCL backend as Vega, hence hoped this would work for you.
Unfortunately I have no Navi hardware myself, so could not test this. Not sure what could be missing. With 20.45 and newer breaking few of the BOINC apps I run, I also haven't reworked the script yet to support these newer drivers.

Did you manage to get OpenCL support using the full driver?

unfortunately still no Navi hardware on my end, so I am unable to test what might be missing :-(
Can report the integrated Vega of my new R7 5700G works with the extract though.

5700 works with 20.30 driver too. I can give you teamviewer id if you want to check, or give me some advice what to do. I am willing to help.
