Write some tests

# Overview
Obviously, I should have built even these early portions of the web app using [TDD](https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/test-driven-development-what-it-is-and-what-it-is-not-41fa6bca02a2/), but personal project gonna personal project. Write some tests for both the front- and backend portions of the web app.
