When using radio buttons for a choice answer, having them all just placed the one after the other is often not very useful for a user, as it's not great UX. But it appears that the columnCount extensions isn't being considered, and I only see the option to overwrite styling to enforce the spacing, but that could break when LForms is internally updated. Personally, I think having better spacing by default would already increase UX for existing questionnaires. FYI: In the example below, it's still OK, but if the answer texts are quiet different in length, then the fun begins :)
