A. Problem Statement:

In the retail industry, managing inventory effectively is complex and challenging. Retail stores often struggle with issues like inefficient order management, inadequate reporting, and inaccurate processes. These problems can lead to stockouts, overstocking, lost sales, and higher operational costs. Without a streamlined system, manual errors, delays in decision-making, and resource inefficiencies are common. A comprehensive inventory management system is essential to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control over these processes.

B. Project Description:

The Inventory Management System is designed to streamline and enhance the management of inventory within a retail store. Its main purpose is to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control over inventory processes, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized and operational processes are smooth.

C. Project Objectives:

To develop an Inventory Management System that optimizes order management processes and offers comprehensive reporting capabilities to support effective decision-making.

  1. Optimize order management processes by enabling the creation, updating, and deletion of purchase orders, and tracking order status.
  2. Develop robust product management capabilities:
    • Add, update, and delete products.
    • Manage product categories.
    • Access controlled by administrators or owners.
  3. Implement user management features to assign roles with specific access levels.
  4. Incorporate reporting and analytics for generating detailed reports on inventory levels, supporting informed decision-making.
