Planned To Do List #33

Description

@zpiddock

After taking some time away from the project (for multiple reasons), I am ready to begin work again, which may be slow to begin with.

The following may change.

  • Add Drag'n'Drop support for mods, and other appropriate areas.
  • Add an update system, see Add update notifications #9 or https://github.com/InnoxiumTech/CandorUpdater
  • Add support for Tools, see Add tools list #8
  • Finish work on Run configurations.
  • Make the UI prettier.
  • Refine the process of building a module, to make it easier, and reduce boilerplate.
  • Update the generic module to read attributes from the game executable for the game name label.
  • Add a profile system, so the user can have multiple "mod loadouts" for games.
  • Fold the generic module in to the core of Candor
  • Fold all "core" modules in to one repo, allowing for easier dev environment. (Likely to make use of git submodules)
  • Decouple UI logic from the UI itself - Will allow for cleaner code, less duplication and easier readability

The following are additions I would like to add, but may not be included in a "Beta" release

  • Add a module browser/automatic module downloader. (Think Linux package browser, etc)
  • Link to nexus file handles for automatic downloading of mods.
  • Adapt Candor to use the Java Module System.
  • Streamline the build process and make it more reliable, we have build errors on j15+
  • Potentially move modules to OSGi system
  • Support Virtual Install
