Hello,
I'm one of the developer of Siril software (www.siril.org).
We recently wrote a short document explaining why we've had added a new FITS keyword and why we would like that every FITS data producers do the same.

Do you think it would be possible to introduce this keyword in your software?

Great idea! As it happens, I was bit by this issue not long ago when working on another project.

I can add it - though we currently don't have a schedule for releasing a new version.
