Coverage reporting for Quadrants kernels

Quadrants does not currently provide a way of recording test coverage on kernels and @qd.funcs. So I have created #470 which addresses this.

From the point of view of being a user of Quadrants, writing Quadrants kernels and funcs, what are our thoughts on the current design, as described in the user-facing doc above?

Is there anything we would like to change/add/remove?
