GMT also has a lot colormaps (many of those referenced in ColorSchemes but not that many) and all those from cpt-city. ColorSchemes are not available directly because I am very conservative in (not) adding new dependencies.

Run makecpt() on the REPL (which prints CLI online help) and see the names of the colormaps. I recommend also the reading of the makecpt docs which is also related with your other question about the triangles. I'll answer that latter though as I have many exams to grade today.
