Spec: days formatted as YYYYMMDD or YYYY-MM-DD?

can we change DDF specification from having days formatted as YYYYMMDD to YYYY-MM-DD?
+better following ISO
+easier to read
+unified with the rest of vizabi ecosystem
+YYYY-MM already has - in ddf specs because previously proposed YYYYMM was ambiguous and could be confused with YYMMDD
-larger ddfcsv file size
-we would need to regenerate 3 datasets
-we would need to update ddf validation app
