JACK does not use .ent format, so it does not matter. The whole point of the project was to automate converting of .def and .ent files to the format supported by JACK since while it supports quake 3 based games, it does not parse typical for these games entity definition files.

Upd: I took a closer look and now I see that you've changed the def reader regarding this \n issue.
I assumed the fgd output format only so the code written the way it costructs a description for this format. This can be rewritten to be processed on the write side and this would be a better solution.

Ic, so this is not compatible change there.
My goal was to automate .def->.ent conversion, as latter provides better experience in radiant, but many games use .def to be compatible with both older and newer editors. Although fgd is supported by radiant too, it is least specific about key types.
Def parser mainly fails now with fairly freestyle formatting. It's possibly impovable; one legit but bugging case is indented list of applicable key values after key definition, which is pushed to description.
