RELEASE_20
- Added a note on the setup page.
- Rechecked that everything is still working on October, 2023
RELEASE_19
- VIM redesign
- Chat now runs on local network only (no shared server) and thus is enabled by default on all setups
- Chat implementation now uses websockets. VectorX web front end integrates a chat panel with which you can send messages to all bots
- Added message language as chat message parameter so you can potentially send a message using a locale that differs the bot's locale
- Bugfixing of the issues encountered during development
RELEASE_18
- Fixed github issue #14: Changing Vector's STT lanuguage doesn't work
RELEASE_17
- Bugfix: unknown locale "en_US" (it should be "en-US")
- Added Trivia Game Voice command (works only with OSKR bots)
- Attempt a VectorX auto-update every day at 1 am
RELEASE_16
- Add Fakeyou.com custom voices to Vector
- Added playground in bot control page to set TTS engine and test sentences
RELEASE_15
- Fix issue #12: Fix VectorX onboarding setup for OSKR bots Now initial setup considers also OSKR bots and allows configuring Wire-Pod to IP-mode or EP mode. Also, the on-boarding procedure differs for a production and a development (OSKR) robot.
RELEASE_14
- Fix issue #11: Update must also run wirepod setup in silent mode or upgrading to newer versions of wire-pod won't work. Also, the initial setup part needs changes since Wire-Pod has changed its configuration files.
RELEASE_13
- Bugfix: if you just press "ENTER" to wirepod install directory in setup.sh, the proposed path is not saved
- Bugfix: the update.sh supposes the login user is "pi". This is because this script was supposed to be run as a service by the update procedure in the RPi4 image (that has a single user, "pi") only. Now this will work even vectorx is installed stand-alone under another, arbitrary, user.
- Updated README.md with upgrade and uninstall instructions
RELEASE_12
- Add an uninstall script (uninstall.sh)
RELEASE_11
- Standard/Extended voice command speed improvement. Now VectorX code is compiled into binary code so it runs much faster. Also, the SDK is initialized only in case of a VectorX command, so standard wirepod voice commands are not delayed.
- Brand new UI for the VectorX control panel, with all VectorX features to try
- Fix OpenCV service not starting correctly
- Help on VectorX voice commands
- RPi4 Image is now updatable. "Check for updates" checks if updates are available and downloads them
- Bug fixes in Go SDK (for example, custom eye colors were not correctly handled when drawing monochrome graphics)
RELEASE_10
- Increase VectorX performance by building the go code to binary. Also initialize go SDK only if there is an intent match. Existing VectorX users should re-run setup.sh in order to have the code compiled.
RELEASE_09
- Added webserver for initial setup, runs on http://escapepod.local:8070
RELEASE_08
- Updating the go sdk version in order to fix a bug with InitSDKForWirepod(). In Wirepod earlier versions a single GUID was used for every bot, but now the GUID is robot-specific. I didn't know this, so I was using the global GUID for GRPC communication, this caused an authentication error and nothing worked.
RELEASE_07
- Introducing VIM: Vector Instant Messaging, with emoticons. Using a shared server on the internet, different Vectors all around the world can communicate! Or you can keep it into your local network and just exchange messages with your local bots.
RELEASE_06
- Added "bingo" intent: Vector pulls out the numbers from 1 to 90. To pull a number, touch Vector. You can also shake it or just caress it, it reacts to touch on the back. Press the back button to quit. Useful for bingo nights...
RELEASE_05
- Bugfix: add localized response of the "roll a die" intent
- Bugfix: fix localization for "your name is" intent
- Shortened weather animations
