Action Performed:

1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
2. Go to workspace chat.
3. Create an expense.
4. Open the expense report.
5. Click More > Split > Save.
6. Open any split.
7. Send a few messages.
8. Open the other split which does not have message.
9. Click More > Delete.
10. Delete the split.

Expected Result:

After reverting split, the messages in the remaining split will not disappear.

Actual Result:

After reverting split, the messages in the remaining split disappear.

Could you please clarify the expected behavior (where do you want to show the messages after deleting the split)?
If the messages should appear in the expense’s report after reverting the split, it looks like this might be a BE issue, cause when one of the splits is deleted, the BE doesn’t return the messages (comments) in the OpenReport response for the remaining report.
But the messages still appear in the LHN as a separate chat but stay in infinite loading (as the bellow picture).
